Points are awarded according to the printed finish received at the end of the race from the scoring computer. Points are distributed to the media and posted on the Berlin Raceway web site usually on the Monday after the race. Due to rulings made by official decisions and other factors, point standings may change at any time. Drivers may request a review of point standings or race results at any time via e-mail to lashcroft@berlinraceway.com or by turning in a written request at the scoring tower on raceday.

"Consi-Last Chance": The Consi race doubles as the Last Chance race. Four cars transfer into the feature, therefore receiving points and pay for their feature finish in lieu of Consi points/pay. The remaining cars in order receive points and pay as though they finished first, second, etc.

Heat points will be awarded only if all heats in a division are run. In the event that all heat races within a division cannot be completed (for example, if only the slow heats in Sportsman are run due to weather), points will not be awarded for the heats that run.

Points are awarded for a combination of:
a) Qualifying - 50 points for first, 45 for second, 40 for third, 35 for fourth, then decreasing by one point for each position down to 38th; all remaining qualifiers receive 1 point. (REVISED for 2004)
b) Heat races - 25 for first, 20 for second, 16 for third, 13 for fourth, 11 for fifth, 10 for sixth, 8 for seventh, 6 for eighth, 4 for ninth, 2 for 10th, and 1 for all remaining finishers. (REVISED for 2004)
c) Consolation race - 50 points for fifth, 44 for sixth, 40 for seventh, 36 for eighth, 32 for ninth, and decreasing by two points for each position from 10th on down (top 4 finishers, or top 3 plus the Top 10 points provisional if applicable, transfer and therefore don't receive consi points).
d) Feature race - 130 for first, 122 for second, 116 for third, 112 for fourth, 108 for fifth, and decreasing by two points for each position from sixth on.
