MARNE, MI -- This Saturday's race at Berlin Raceway is dedicated to helping Wright Township to "Flush The Debt" - that is, to help pay down the debt that was incurred when the township's failing sewer system was hooked up to the Grand Rapids city sewer system.

A portion of the proceeds for Saturday's race, which includes the traveling Short Track Truck Series as well as Berlin's regular Coors Light Late Model, Engine Pro Super Stock and Instant Cash Advance Sportsman divisions, appropriately sponsored by Kerkstra Septic, will benefit the cause. Berlin Raceway has raised more than $11,000 for the project through these "community support" races over the past several years.

Mike Strevel, Berlin's Director of Race Operations, says the donation is a way to give back to the community in which the track operates.

"Berlin Raceway is proud to be a part of the Wright Township community," Strevel said. "This is something that we feel is important to our neighbors the community, and we want to do our part by helping reduce the debt load."

Fans can do their part to assist simply by attending the race; a larger crowd for this race translates into a larger donation to the township.

Ticket prices are $12 for adult general admission and $25 for pit passes (16 and over only). It's Kids Night, which means all kids 12 and under get in free and there will be plenty of kids activities and autograph sessions to enjoy.Ý
