Kleis, Tillema and Regnerus also win

Marne, MI-- The ASA Late Models returned to Berlin Raceway and emerging victorious was Brian Campbell, who visited Berlin's Victory Lane for the second time in 10 days. Also winning were Brian Tillema and Justin Regnerus in the Kerkstra Services Pro Stocks and Ben Kleis in the Burnips Equipment 4-Cylinders.

The Kerkstra Services Pro Stocks were the first division to take laps, their feature picked up on lap 11 where the June 6th rain-shorted feature ended with #7 Kevin DeGood and #2 Shawn Simon leading. DeGood established himself as the leader, Simon was falling back and #36 Ken Smith, Jr. was up to second. On lap 17, Smith and DeGood were side by side for the lead, but DeGood was holding his own on the outside. Smith made the pass for the lead on lap 25 and DeGood got shuffled to the back. The first caution of the race happened when the #51 of Weston Jewett was off of the backstretch. On the restart, #76 Brian Tillema took the lead and #50 Justin Regnerus was pressuring Smith for second. Regnerus took the position and had a handful of laps to catch Tillema. Another caution came with four laps to go for the #8 of Sadie Klein. While that put Regnerus on Tillema's bumper, Regnerus was unable to get around him. Tillema scored the win and the rest of the top ten were Regnerus, #76 Ryan Gruppen, Smith, #33 Jerry Groeneveld, DeGood, #81 Marc Coleman, Simon, #40 Dave Cutler and #97.9 Ryan Schnabel.

The 25-lap Burnips Equipment 4-Cylinder A feature rolled next with #81 Ben Hobbie and #4 Ron Myers on the front row. #7 Ryan Hamm was quick to go three-wide, slicing his way through the field, he gained four positions in one lap and made his way to second by lap three. Hamm was challenging leader #51 Brad Hastings and on lap 9, Hamm made his was around him. Hastings was busy fending off the #6 of Ben Kleis for second, Kleis took the position and began cutting into Hamm's lead. The final caution of the race came out on lap 19 and on the restart from the caution, Kleis got in to Hamm and sailed by. Hamm was unable to get past Kleis again, so Kleis walked away with the win. Hamm came in second and the rest of the top ten were #9 Nick Curtis, Hastings, #7 Jake Loesch, #07 Jason Emanouil, #20 Tim DeVos, Hobbie, #14 Jason DeVos and #100 Jason Scheid.

Just two laps later, caution was out again, #8 Sadie Klein's car was in the turn 3 wall. The #33 of Jerry Groeneveld was in second, chasing Smith when the caution came out again on lap 7 for the spinning machine of #64 Brad DeJong. Once the cars were restarted, Regnerus was quick to take second from Groeneveld and by lap 15, he had grabbed the lead from Smith. The next two cautions happened back to back involving the cars of DeGood in the fourth and #48 Brandon Wright and #99 Todd Root in the fifth. The raced ended under caution with Regnerus taking the checkered and yellow flag first. Groeneveld, Gruppen, Smith, Tillema, #20 Dave Hull, Jewett, #40 Dave Cutler, #81 Marc Coleman and Simon rounded out the top ten.

The ASA Late Model 'The Tradition 100' was the last feature of the night and after driver intorductions, #8 Eddie Hoffman and #51 Alec Carll brought the field to the stripe. Hoffman took off and left Carll and #23 Chris Koslek to battle for second. The top 10 got sorted out and was running single file and #22 Chris Eggleston was reeling in Hoffman. The top two had put over four seconds between themselves and the rest of the field, but on lap 21, they came up on slower cars and Eggleston managed to get past Hoffman. The first caution of the race came on lap 34 and that bunched the field back up. Eggleston pulled away and all cars from second to seventh were jockeying for position. At half-way, the #20 of Brian Campbell was up to second and cutting into Eggleston's lead. The leaders found themselves in lapped traffic on lap 65, but Eggleston was still able to maintain his lead. Lap 69 saw the second caution of the night for the spinning cars of #99 Jordan Sims and #29 Joey King. After the restart, Campbell pulled to the outside of Eggleston and took off.
